I recently bought a Chicken Guard automatic door opener (the basic model with no light sensor, just a timer) for my hen house. After a bit of fiddling around to get the batteries to work, it sprung into action and has been reliably opening and shutting the hen-house door for the last month. It's a great help, especially when we go away and I don't want to have to ask the neighbours to let the hens out or close them in at night. They now only have to come and feed/check on them once a day. Brilliant!
