The unit has been excellent having been installed a couple of months ago and used every day to open and close on timer (as opposed to on light level) without any bother whatsoever. Saves a couple of trips a day to lock down and open up, and it is reassuring to know that the chickens are safely locked in if you are not home till late. Only gripe would be that it didn't come with fixings to fasten the unit to the coop - I used screw head bolts and nuts, which I would recommend over screw fixings to make it most secure. However the size of the recessed screw holes meant I had to do a bit of searching around for something the right size. Not a problem but it was a trip to the diy merchants when I'd have happily paid a pound more to have them included.
