I have been trying to eliminate plastic from my life for a long time now. This facilitates carrying water without purchasing small plastic throwaways. However, I should have bought the smaller version (I bought the 500ml) because it does add weight to my bag. I also understand that there are light aluminum versions out there but I also prefer not to use aluminum for its effect on the environment
