I was really hopeful when I hired Joi and Blokes because I wanted a company that would advocate for my health. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite.
My triglycerides came back sky high, and instead of taking that seriously, they dismissed it and didn’t even recommend a recheck. When I asked for one (which would have been a simple phone call to the lab—I even gave them the direct number), they flat out refused, saying they only work in “bundles.” They absolutely could have done something, they just refused to.
As a 40-something woman, I’ve already spent years feeling dismissed by healthcare providers, and I really thought this company would be different. Instead, I was left feeling belittled, unheard, and completely unadvocated for. When I voiced my concerns, they were unapologetic, rude, and demeaning—acting as though they knew best and that my input didn’t matter.
This kind of arrogance—acting “mightier than thou”—has to stop. Patients deserve better than to be dismissed when they raise valid, serious health concerns. I regret putting my trust in them.
