Back in June I made the effort to go to the boutique in Maidenhead. We were met by Declan who was very nice. I ordered a Day Date COSC C60. While I was there he sized my wrist and said he would take a link out of mine before it is sent. He also said he would e-mail before it was sent out as I may have it delivered to work depending on my shifts. All good.
A couple of weeks later I e-mailed customer services with a trivial question about the dial, no response.
So I e-mailed Declan, no response, despite starting the e-mail with “I have e-mailed Customer Services but I have had no response”. One would have thought that would have encouraged him to respond…
Towards the end of July I was getting concerned that I had not heard from you so I checked the e-mail confirmation. It did not mention a date but it did have my address down as Gateshead. I live in Kent. We told Declan that we lived in Kent.
I e-mailed Customer Services, got an out of office, on a group e-mail address…..
I didn’t worry too much as Declan said he would contact me before he sent it. That turned out to be misplaced faith….
Two days later I get an e-mail saying my watch had been posted, to Gateshead.
Within minutes I e-mailed back, twice, no response, so I called, no answer.
I didn’t get a call from them the next day neither, despite the two e-mails I sent.
On the Monday I called CW as I had tracked the parcel back to their door.
I spoke to Scott, he apologised and said he would find out what went wrong. He never got back to me neither.
The watch arrived, a lovely thing, but it didn’t fit so I had to remove a link myself as they had not done it as they said they would. That sort of made a mockery of me making the effort to visit the boutique in the first place.
So, one mistake is forgivable, but I had at least seven instances of poor service, for one watch purchase, not good. It seems the company is riddled with apathy and incompetence.
