The workshop was well-structured, starting with an introduction to the basics of scent composition, including notes, families, and the art of blending. The instructor was knowledgeable and passionate, guiding us through the different fragrance notes—top, middle, and base. We had the opportunity to smell a variety of essential oils and aroma compounds, which really enhanced our understanding of how different scents interact. The hands-on portion was the highlight. We were provided with a range of materials to create our own unique blends. It was fascinating to experiment with combinations and discover how a few drops of one scent could completely transform the mix. The atmosphere was encouraging, allowing for creativity and personal expression. By the end of the class, I left with a custom fragrance that I was proud of, along with a deeper appreciation for the craft of perfumery.
