Using Cobalt's products have freed me from the "need" to upgrade my photography gear every time I want a different look. For example I have always loved Fuji's jpeg engine but I prefer Olympus for their smaller camera sizes and weather resistance. Now I can have both! Shooting with my Olympus OM1 II I can have Fuji's modern colors or their slide film look. I have also purchased the CCD pack so I can get the Lecia M9 and older Fuji medium format looks. I also shoot RAW on my iPhone and have the base pack for that - Fuji colors on the iPhone! Best camera money I've spent and will save me $1000's on gear.
