The low contrast linear options are a game changer for editing high dynamic range files in raw. The expense can mount up if you are using several different bodies and that would an assessment you would have to make in advance. The film and digital profile emulations are much better than you find elsewhere in my opinion and err towards accuracy rather than spectacular. Overall I'd recommend the system to anyone willing to stand the initial cost associated with the base packs.
