Cooked this in the slow cooker with Guinness, shallots, celery, juniper berries and bay leaves - what a treat and delicious in a cold roast beef and horseradish sandwich. It rendered down loads of beef dripping too which I use for roast potatoes. Nothing gets wasted in this household.
