Went in the shop to buy a dress and asked the girl if she had a smaller size on which she replied that they never. I bought the dress as it was ok’ish fit and it was in the sale. I assumed she also checked online as they’ve done in the past when I shopped there previously. Later that day whilst browsing through your website I noticed that you did have the smaller size and since there was only one I purchased it. When I went to return the original dress at the Newcastle branch I was refused a refund. I was informed by the manager that this wasn’t possible as there was a 4”square sign next to the till mentioning this and I should of read this, well sorry I didn’t and why should I scoure the till desk looking. Also he mentioned that the policy its also on the receipt, sorry but surely that would be too late if I have already bought the item????
Not once did the lady assistant mention this. This is a disgrace as I can return items online but not in the shop and now I’m stuck with a £480 credit note I don’t want.
