Avoid! Date in a Dash is disorganised at best, and predatory at worst... It took 4 days for Rob (a seemingly one man band) managing director to book me into the correct night I asked for even though I sent the exact link for him to use. I also advised him that one of his hosts came over to the booth that I sat (it had a very small entrance/exit) and blocked the way out as he began asking to try to sleezy flirt with me - even though I wanted to just leave. Highly unprofessional, inappropriate and borderline predatory. I was in the booth and his host pretty much ran over once the last person left before I could have a second to get out and leave, blocking the small entrance, and making it exceptionally awkward. It is predatory to work for an organisation to use it as leverage to make people feel pressured to talk to you, and block their way out of a situation. There are scales to this, but essentially it is an abuse of their power/authority in the situation. I am new to speed dating and was unsure of what to do as I did not want to cause a scene. I was quite taken aback because surely it should feel like a safe environment. It was not nice to experience and it is not right for anyone to feel pressured or uncomfortable in this way. When I highlighted this to Rob he said, he shouldn't really be doing it but that there was "nothing wrong with it per se". He really did not seem to care at all. Given the bad experience I asked if that particular host will be at this next event that Rob booked me in for (the one that took 4 days) and he just ignored this question completely, eventually admitting that he purposefully ignored it because he "I didn’t address your question about the host but the fact is I do not know who is going to be the hosting..." Very unsympathetic and he really seems like not a nice guy at all. Please let me know if anyone else has had a similar experience with this company.
