I ordered the flowers from Debenhams as I believed they were a trusted supplier. They were due to be delivered on New Years Eve as a surprise for my elderly Mother. At 4.50pm on New Years Eve I received an e-mail from Debenhams saying that the flowers had not been delivered by the Royal Mail. There was no explanation or date when they would be delivered. I tried to ring the Debenhams customer service dept. which closed at 5pm and just got an answer machine message. I contacted my Mother on New Years Day to wish her a happy New Year but without the flowers.
2 days after the supposed delivery date the flowers arrived and were described by my mother as very nice, but they had already been sitting around at the Royal Mail for 2 days!!!!! I have not had a single word of apology from Debenhams, which I find amazing!! My advice is although the flowers are of a good standard the delivery and customer service from Debenhams is next to useless. Do not use them !!!!
