I bought desert boots for our recent month long tour of out of the way places in North India, having found regular walking boots to be too heavy and cumbersome to carry around when not being worn and excessively hot and sweaty when being worn.

They were very light weight and comfortable and reasonably tough, I am confident that they will survive at least one more such trip which makes them very good value for money.
