I am really happy with the quality and price of the Oliver Jacobs sofa's I purchased from MDM Furniture, however I was pretty disappointed with their customer service.
Firstly, it took a large number of calls to get through to speak to anyone in their office, it was constantly ringing out to answer machine. Not only did this become infuriating, but when you tried to leave a voicemail message, you couldn't be sure it would be received, as the lady on the pre-recorded message asks you to press pound when you have finished your message?? This isn't something that you can actually do! Emails messages were also not returned and as a customer it leaves you feeling a little uneasy, when you haven't received your item, but you've paid for it in full.
Finally on the day the sofas were due to be delivered, we were told that they would be with us sometime in the afternoon and we would receive a call an hr before being delivered. They never showed up!! No telephone call nothing, even though they had my number. My husband and toddler waited in all afternoon, a courtesy call to say sorry would have been appreciated. Instead we were called, not by MDM, but the delivery driver the following day (Saturday), to be told he was sorry, there had been an accident the night before and they would be with within the hour. It was a good job we were home being a Saturday!
A real shame having to write this as the products are good, its a shame to let customers down on service.
