I recently decided to make the next step to reducing our carbon footprint of our family after learning about the nasty germs our usual plastic sponges have on them, as well as the impact to the environment. After weeks of searching I decided to buy a wood and plant fibre washing up brush set and a couple of natural sponge scrubbers from Earthbits and I’m so pleased with them!! I assumed I’d be switching to a sub-par product than I was used to, but was willing to do it just because I refuse to use non-recyclable plastic products anymore; but I’ve been pleasantly surprised with everything I’ve bought! The scrubbing brushes work so well on pans and oven trays that I’ve noticed an improvement and it’s much easier too. I also bought a starter pack of the Soap Nuts to use for washing clothes as I’ve got a 3 month old baby and was looking for a natural alternative that’s gentle on her skin and these have been great too! You get 5/6 washes out of a few nuts and the 500g pack looks like it’s going to last a while! Great to add a few drops of essential oil to as well and makes the washing smell delicious! Would highly recommend the above products to anyone looking to make a small change with a big impact.
