I bought three items in January from an “easylife” catalogue found in my Sunday Mail. I paid by debit card. After a few days I was phoned up by a person from a Rewards Club but not told of their association with Easylife. I said I was not agreeing to anything over the phone but would read and consider their offerings if they sent information by post. When it arrived I read and discarded it as being not suitable to my needs. They charged me a subscription using the card I had used to pay Easylife without my written or verbal consent. It appeared today as a pending transaction on my bank account. This is surely illegal and fraudulent. How do they get away with it? They are both owned by Amazon, and Bezos uses the money to sent junk into Space!
