Easylife may be operated out of the UK but appears the ownership is in Cyprus. Cyprus is to be avoided at all costs in any financial sense.
I would have thought the Financial Conduct Authority should be interested in a situation where you have to opt out of something which you never opted into in the first place, to avoid having money drawn from a card which one did not save with the seller.
