We received a telecopic hedge trimmer/chainsaw as a wedding present - our wedding was August 2015, however it's nearly our anniversary and we still don't have a reliable and safe product
to use.
There was a huge delay in delivery, so after much chasing we did receive it in September.
Shortly after this, there was a fault so we had to contact customer support - they arranged collection and replacement, which was done.
THEN...the product returned to us had a crucial part missing, a part which we did initially have, responsible for adjusting the pole length - as you can imagine, very dangerous to use without this as the trimmer head keeps falling down towards your face - UNSAFE.
I voiced my concerns via email to their technical support, I sent an image of our product and a copy of the image in the instruction manual so that it would be clear what is missing. NO HELP received after 5 emails between April/May, in fact they just ignore you.
When I call the customer service helpline (an 0844 number!), they are generally polite but aren't familiar with the products, hence they advised I seek help via the technical support email address they provided. They said they were prompt in responding to emails!?...they don't even reply never mind promptly.
After no luck through email, I rang customer support again and a representative said she said she would kindly look into it. She called back to say she had found out what I need and would send it out - INCORRECT PART SENT. NOT SURPRISED.
I am now giving myself a few weeks off to recover before dealing with this awful attempt of customer care again.
They take a month to deliver then have the cheek to say it's been over a month so they cannot offer a refund!!!
I cannot believe such companies exist and I will be reporting them to trading standards.
There is one thing they're quick at doing and that is TAKING YOUR MONEY.
Disgusting, never mind our overgrown hedges!!!
