When approaching & entering the flat, we were a little concerned as it seemed a little dodgy - the hall & stairs seemed dark & uninviting. The stairs are circular so narrow in areas - something we learned is more typical in the UK, and were great exercise! However, the place was wonderful - all the amenities looked new & in good working order. The location was amazing, easy walking distance to everything, and turned out to be a very pleasant part of the city. Very quiet on the bedroom side, and being on the top floor, there were no noise problems from neighbors. The only "niggle" we encountered was the very small WC (made up by the large shower room). Outside of that, it was the perfect place; large enough so that we could spread out a little & relax when not out enjoying beautiful Edinburgh. You won't go wrong with this rental!
