I started leasing a Kia Sportage from Evolution Rentals now EVOGO under their SmartDrive scheme and have been very happy with the deal and the customer care I have experienced. Incidentally it is about to be replaced by a new Kia Cee'd as my wife finds the Sportage too big for her liking. My current income is not "generous" so I wanted a deal that did not tie me in to a minimum period in case I decided I couldn't afford it at some point - or indeed if I decided to buy a car instead. Also, I was not interested in buying/owning the leased car at the end of the contract. My main reasons for choosing EVOGO SmartDrive were: - Fixed rate of monthly outgoings with no surprise bills that one can get by owning a car (new or old); - No additional costs apart from insurance and fuel/oil; So, I don't have to worry about defect rectification, maintenance, servicing, tyres (unless punctured), or Vehicle Tax and they provide breakdown cover too. - Small one-time up front payment; - No further up front payments on renewing the car; - Not tied into a 2 or 3 year contract like most Personal Contract Hire deals; - No early termination penalties - "hand it back when you don't want it any more" - A new car typically every 12 months - Wide choice of cars, though admittedly limited if you're on a tight budget. All in all the EVOGO SmartDrive deal suits me!
