Ferry Marina is one of the larger boat rental companies of the Norfolk Broads with comparably new and modern boats. As shipyard for boat repairs and second hand boats, they have a second branch and as such correspondingly good know-how and reputation among boat owners, so the information when we talked with a skipper of a private boat somewhere near the Ranworth junction. We were received very nicely and got a very good introduction to the handling of the boat. Also during our holiday week our little questions were answered immediately (for example, :-) forgetting to turn off the TV satellite receiver, which then caused a constant and worrysome noise like a working bilge pump). For a pump out, our boat was slipped spontaneously in between other jobs and we were again on the river in no time. Radiant Emblem is a very nice boat, very spacious yet compact in size - and we especially appreciated the upper deck with steering. This allows a great overview for both the ship's command as well as the scenery. We also appreciated the comfortable headroom in the interior, which of course then limits the range of Radiant Emblem somewhat. With a height of 8 ft and 8 in, the journey stops unfortunately at various bridges - but for a week tour this is no issue. There are other boats available in the Emblem Fleet with just the right bridges' height compatibilites. In short, the family was very happy and we can highly recommend the boats and the crew of Ferry Marina. Thanks, guys, for a great holiday week!
