Used a couple of times to get to London from Howden last summer to hook up with Eurostar from St Pancras a very easy stroll from Kings Cross Station. Lucky enough both times to take advantage of good prices for 1st class travel. Despite the carriages being older stock they were very comfortable. The on board staff were extremely polite, helpful and genuinely wanted to ensure you had a good journey. We were well fed and watered throughout our journeys. The standard of food served at your seat was perfectly acceptable and was better than was offered on Eurostar services. Each trip was spot on time. We do not go to London very often but when we do we always check Hull trains website. There are some good deals to be had, especially if you are able to book well in advance. I particularly appreciated the fact you could select a date and the website contacted you when tickets were available to buy. Very useful for good prices.
