As a Software Engineer/Manager, this review is based off of my Professional Knowledge and Experiences.
I take issue with their internal policies. I have not found these so called policies available to the general public via their website i.e. no full disclosure at time of purchase.
In the IT World their is a given rule that a single PC with a single Software License has that License assigned to it for the life of the PC. This has been verified by my CEO. Our Licensing contracts state this as a matter of fact.
I had a Software issue where I had to uninstall all software that utilized the Web for downloading purposes. I then reinstalled the software from Flixicam first and attempted to use it. It required that I re register it, no problem I've had to do it before. This registration was denied. What happened to same PC with same NIC not having that PC = Single License available moving forward?
This is their response after I contacted their Support Team :"To prevent misuse of the registration code, we have limited registrations to three times. Please note that clearing the registration record may be seen as re-registration."
This would be considered intolerable within the General IT World. Where does that 3 times come in? Where does having them reset it every time? No direct Phone Number to contact them.
