The delivery came on the right day but because the courier left it OUTSIDE my elderly mother's porch (and didn't bother ringing the bell), she did not discover it until very late in the evening when a relative popped round and saw it. Had that not happened, my mum would not have received them on her birthday.
Needless to say, they weren't looking their best when opened.
