This backpack is everything I wanted/needed. Namely, enough space for my Digital SLR camera, two lenses and other small accessories; and for other stuff, including water, clothing, books, and laptop. Plus at least three pockets for small things and two large narrow spaces for flat things. I have just been on an eight-week camping trip in Europe, and it was extremely useful. The only drawback I can see is that it is tempting to put too much in it, especially if I include my rather heavy laptop---and this is hard on my back. But that is a problem of my own choosing.
