I chose Bennetts, for my motorcycle insurance, after they were recommended to me. Purchasing the policy was easy but then the problems started. I e-mailed them a copy of my NCD from my previous insurer but their system failed to acknowledge this. I then faxed and e-mailed them a further copy. No response. They then sent me a threatening letter stating my premium would be raised by the difference between my quote and the premium , minus any no-claim discount. I faxed them and posted them a copy of my NCD. Eventually, it got sorted and I did receive an apology plus a £10 refund. However, no customer should have to face such difficulty in simply providing their NCD and then being threatened with a hike in the price. I will be thinking very carefully before I renew my insurance with them again.
