Had a bit of a mixed bag with renewing my Bennetts Bike insurance. Having paid £168 the previous year you can imagine my surprise when I got a renewal notice for the coming year at £625. Before I logged onto Go Compare to move to another insurer I contacted Bennetts only to be told there was an obvious mistake. The operative on the phone was very helpful and re-ran the quote for me. My next surprise was that as a "non-fault" incident was still open on my policy (still chasing a foreign driver who crashed into me 10 months ago) my new premium was £324 - Why should I have my premium doubled because someone else crashed into me? Anyway a further re-quote from the Bennetts operative using a different insurer got the price down to within a few quid of last years hence I took out the policy and stayed with Bennetts - without the help of the phone centre at Bennetts I would have definitely moved to another provider - Customer service rules!!
