My son purchased his first car and took insurance out with Carrot.
Guy comes to fit the black box and informs my son that the tinted rear window wasn't factory fitted, being a naive new motorist my son simply hadn't realised. To cut a long story short, the company cancelled his insurance, and despite him having the tinting removed won't reinsure him. The worst of it is that when he asks for quotes from other insurers now, he has to declare that he has had insurance cover cancelled / refused, therefore sending quotes even more sky high.
