Carrot cancelled my insurance policy 1 month before it was due to be renewed. This was due to a milage allowance being exceeded. Rang customer services (a wait worse than ringing hmrc)to be given a quote for excess miles and how long that would be valid for (told 30 days) rang up 7 days later to pay for excess miles to be told my insurance was cancelled and that my underbroker had issued a refund. 20 days later.... Rang up carrot to enquire why the refund still hadn't gone into my account to be told it hadn't even been processed and that the amount I was told was actually incorrect. Lodged a complaint. Shady company.
