Started off great, however the company who is in charge of fitting the tracker almost made me loose my policy with in the first to weeks of having it as they couldn't 'find me' at work. That was the start, then for about 4 months I was fine, only issue was that the heavily penalise you driving late, an issue for me as I worked as a waiter. Then I started getting ghost journeys on my tracker, some lasting up to 4 hours and actually giving me a score as if I was driving the car. I know I wasn't as I was on the other side of the country at the time with the only key to open and run my car. This became even more frustrating when I called carrot, after spending 30 minutes on hold when I finally got through to an operator I was told that this was an issue they could do nothing about and were unable to help me in anyway. My last issue with Carrot is their customer care is appalling. To contact them to top up miles it cost you £35 just for ringing, which if your in a hurry won't be something that is going to happen as the shortest time I've personally been on hold is 25 minutes the longest be 40. The one good thing about them is that the miles cost less when you drive well, something I was good at fortunately so the actual miles are fairly cheep to top up, just that rather annoying £35 pound calling fee. Will never insure anything with Carrot again as I feel like if I did have an accident they would take years to pay out and sort anything. This is a company purely focused on making money, don't be fooled by their cash back scheme (something that also take a long time to make it's way on to your pre paid carrot card).
