I doubted that it would work as advertised but was pleasantly surprised when it performed as advertised. Time will tell if it stops regrowth. It was however easier to remove with a rubber glass scraper than wash it down rather than use water to remove it. The Gel can get stuck in the drain so best to remove it before washing it down.
