Go Compare came up with a number of reasonable offers quite quickly, but on being transferred to the insurers' actual websites, the terms of the offers did not match. The cheapest offer of £73 for classic car insurance rose to £258 once transferred and in others the level of cover decreased and excesses rose. The lack of accuracy provided by Go Compare left them pretty useless. Compare the Market fared much better with their listed details matching the actual insurers' details much more accurately.
