BEWARE ALLOWING CHILDREN ACCESS TO THIS SITE... As long as you are comfortable having your legal rights trampled on and the occasional illegal activity this is almost a good site... just do NOT expect ANY positive action when you receive abusive behaviour from listers (becoming too common) and report such to Gumtree; they happily continue to allow inappropriate and some illegal activity to continue EVEN in breach of their OWN terms and conditions AFTER repeatedly noticed. Their handling (mis-handling?) of fraud issues is to just fob you off to the police; FORGET any OTHER consumer law agencies; TOO many if their staff are indifferent/ignorant of Consumer Law (ever heard if Trading Standards Gumtree?) This behaviour wouldn't be allowed on the high street; indeed, even government level agencies are looking at the behaviour of on-line companies... of which Gumtree is.
