GE legal handled our sale and purchase during our move from East Kent to Wales. I chose them because they acted in our equity release a few years previously and we were porting the lifetime mortgage. Our transaction was handled by David Lowry’s team. In the beginning I found their service unsatisfactory as emails and questions posed on their client portal went unanswered for days at a time and I found David himself to be lacking in customer management skills. Eventually I found a member of the team who provided timely updates (Kellie Whelan) and she saw the transaction through to a satisfactory conclusion just 8 hours before the end of the stamp duty holiday. Kellie was brilliant, answered emails and silly questions in a timely manner with good humour and delivered the goods in the end. Well done Kellie.
