The company handled the transaction well. I have only one complaint and that is the charge of £50 plus VAT to deliver one’s settlement electronically. This probably works out at £1 per keystroke. GW’s answer was that all solicitors charge this but this just looks like a ripoff. The company’s fees should include this as to write a cheque, add a covering letter and include postage come under their agreed fees.
