My child is extremely fussy about shoes and the only trainers that feel comfortable for him are Plae trainers I bought from Happy Little Soles. He's also very hard on his shoes so cheaper ones were a false economy as they need replaced so soon. I was recommended the site by other parents. I didn't really know anything about barefoot shoes previously, but the site has the right amount of info to get started. After outgrowing those shoes, I ordered a different pair in a bigger size based on the measuring advice on the site. Somehow my child claimed they were too tight so I returned these using the free and simple returns process. I got my money back quickly and bought a different pair that we are very happy with.
