Ordered the Helvellyn poles in advance of the Transylvania 80k ultra on 28 May. I've used poles for about 10 years on ultras, but wanted something more robust for a technical mountain event of 85k and 5245m. I used the poles for almost all the way, they were great on the steep ascents, muddy descents and for traversing patches of snow. Complete confidence in these poles
