I bought the USBHOST-MIDI board as a less expensive alternative to buying a ready made unit that would have been in excess of £90. Having purchased the board I 'cobbled together' some extra components and assembled a working prototype. Needless to say it worked first time. However, and this is not a criticism, the information concerning building a MIDI device is very limited and relies on the buyer having a good grasp of Electronics. I had to pull a few splinters out of my fingers from scratching my head. A few 'embarrassing for me' emails to your support staff put me straight on a few things. Maybe a simple tutorial could be posted on putting it all together, inlcluding what extra components are needed.
Would I recommend Hobbytronics? Most certainly. Their is a great range of devices on offer but do some research beforehand to avoid mistakes and wasted time.
