I shop in the Hull branch on a regular basis, I have been going into this shop since I was 4years old, I'm now 61. They give a slightly old fashioned style of customer service, but I like that, you leave feeling really valued as a customer even if you don't actually buy anything! Staff will smile and greet you as you pass through the store, but they aren't pushy but will pick up on things maybe a look on your face or if you keep going back to the same object, they will ask if you need help. If you are looking for a gift but don't know what to get they will make suggestions based on who your buying for and the budget you have. The stores has 2 cafes, onebtge first floor is cafe NERO, great for coffee & cake or a light snack, in the basement is Zest serving teas & coffees and assorted food including main meals at lunch time, also nice for afternoon tea they serve an assortment of cakes and scones. The only problem, and this is why I didn't give them a full score, the lifts aren't working, but there is an esscalator and if you ask a member of staff they will help by taking you in their service lift. I complained about this to a member of staff and a couple if days later the store manager rang me to apologise for any inconvenience and explained they are waiting to replace their 40 year old lifts as they were worried that the old ones are becoming unsafe. So again customer care comes first!
