I am a full-time writer/editor, and I thought that a TEFL certification combined with my background and earlier volunteer experience as an English tutor would form a good foundation for a retirement plan in a couple of years. I completed the online TEFL program in 2020 and volunteered virtually for 8 months for a grassroots organization. I then added two ITA specialty courses to my tutoring toolbox, Teaching Business English and Teaching English Online, and recently signed up for the new ITA Tutoring English course. I'm now one step closer to retirement and am looking forward to starting an online tutoring business, thanks to the great education and resources I continue to obtain through the International TEFL Academy!
