Our short break in Verona was a birthday gift to my husband. It was the first time I had used Weekend a la Carte, but I need not have worried. We had the best organised short break ever. We were driven from the airport to our hotel and really appreciated the room upgrade that had been obtained for us. Our evening at the opera was superb as we had marvellous tickets for Tosca, and the rain was kind to us as, although it threatened, it did not fall. The hospitality of our restaurant hosts made the wine tasting which was arranged all the more enjoyable. We managed some shopping, sightseeing and, of course, restaurants. We were collected on time at our hotel and driven to the airport for our flight home, and were already planning another visit next year. Thank you, Weekend a la Carte for making my husband's birthday one to remember.
