Absolutely first class from start to finish. The private water taxi from the airport to the hotel in Venice made us feel like VIPs, and the hotel was beautiful and situated in a perfect location for all our activities. Our room overlooked the lagoon and was definitely worth the upgrade, while all the hotel staff would bend over backwards to deliver a perfect service. The itinerary for the short break was ideal as it gave us plenty to do but also time for us to explore at our own pace. The only slight downside was our Venice vouchers weren't accepted at st. Marks basilica, and as this was right at the end of our trip we didn't get a chance to see inside. The Doge's palace was fantastic though (voucher and queue jump accepted there no problem). All in all a wonderful trip to mark my partners 30th birthday.
