Our needs were simple: two flights; two back-to-back hotel bookings; and three transfers between the airport and the hotels. All were handled impeccably. The hotels had the bookings to hand on arrival. And the three drivers were splendid – charming, skilled at negotiating Italian motorways and back roads, and locally knowledgeable. Remarkably, given Italy's cultural traditions, all three turned up slightly ahead of their scheduled pick-up times
