I Have just lost my deposit with James Villa Holidays. The time had arrived to pay the final balance on my holiday, I called them and asked as we aren't allowed to travel at the moment what is their policy for refunds? I was told by Sophie that as of the moment they would need to take my full balance and see what happens 7 days before the date of my holiday. In other words she was asking me to give them more money in hope that I may get it all back, if I didn't pay up in full now they would take it as a cancellation of my holiday and I would loose my deposit. After I expressed how disappointed I was with this they offered to move my deposit to a holiday next year I agreed to this and the holiday was a little cheaper (it was June rather than July) however Sophie then asked me to pay yet MORE MONEY as a deposit when I questioned this her response was "well the deposits have gone up for next year" an absolute joke.
