Karrimor sell online through Sports Direct. Their website had a flaw which prevented it from adopting my Paypal post code, and instead they posted to a different post code. There are many roads with the same name in UK, they are only distinguished by their post code, the name of the town or Borough is not read by couriers. So the conflict of town and post code was not recognised. The recipient, whoever he was, has never answered my letters, so my order was lost. As no phone contact is possible, the courier could not be re-directed in time, at a weekend. This inability to contact a courier quickly is not peculiar to Sports Direct, and in any event, when I finally reached the courier Hermes via email, they declined to investigate my complaint, as Sports Direct and not I, was their customer. I believe that this problem too, is not unique to Hermes. In a series of email exchanges the following week, Sports Direct first pointed to their terms and conditions which - apparently, I have still not seen them, and have found no way of viewing them - put the responsibility for checking that your correct address and post code are carried forward, onto you. But later Sports Direct accepted that the software flaw exists, and undertook to investigate and correct it. They then also refunded my payment. At no point did I have any contact with Karrimor, all my exchanges were with Sports Direct. After reading Wikipedia, I find that the company Karrimor no longer exists. Only the brand name survives, and that is owned entirely by Sports Direct. So, after some emails with Sports Direct, I was treated fairly in the end. And I have at the request of Sports Direct, revised this review. Although the review website seems to have a fault too, because now ratings of Very Poor, Poor and Average, are all displayed simultaneously, despite all my efforts. The moral is that we all have to remain vigilant online, and verify that every piece of information that we enter, does actually get carried forward, because errors can occur, perhaps not visible onscreen. We have to scrutinise the confirmation-of-order email that they send to us, and scroll down and read every line. In the case of Sports Direct's confirmation emails, this means hitting Page Down several times before your address and order details appear.
