I contacted Koh regarding my mop after we moved house. Our new home has vinyl plank flooring rather than tiles which we previously had. The mop is a breeze to use on tiles and I loved it. The amount of effort it took to mop the vinyl plank floors actually broke the mop handle. I was advised the green mop heads are not great for this type of floor, which I feel should be noted somewhere on the website for people to see. If I hadn't already been using a Koh mop successfully on tiled floors, and this was my first try with the mop on the vinyl flooring, I would have given it a terrible review and not used any more of their products. Customer service said the blue mop heads are a dream to use on this type of floor. I definitely don't agree with this, it's still much harder to clean the floor than on tiles, but hopefully now the effort is a bit less with the blue mop heads, my mop won't break. I was offered a highly discounted mop with free shipping to replace my old one (which I'd had for a few years), I thought this was very generous offer and took it up. Overall I really love the Koh cleaning system, but feel more transparency on the website about the green mop heads not being very suitable for certain floors would work favourably especially if new customers had the same experience I did on vinyl plank floors.
