Signed up Nov 19/24. Made a deposit and purchased some crypto. No problems. Created a Kraken wallet account a couple of days later. (Friends told me it was a safer place to keep my crypto). Kraken told me the transaction to transfer my crypto "failed". No reason was given. A couple of days later, about Nov 23/24, Kraken emailed me to advise me that my account was being closed within 72 hours. I was advised to convert my crypto into cash and have the cash deposited into my bank account. It is Kraken's policy not to provide an explanation detailing why my account was being closed. No explanation telling me if I did something wrong, made a mistake or if there was something fraudulent going on by someone. All of my ID credentials checked out but my account was nevertheless closed with no provision to sign up for a new account. This has never ever happened to me before and Kraken has been a huge disappointment. At the very least they could have provided a reason for suddenly closing my account!
