Here in the US we rely on the free-wheeling pulley systems that are simply dangerous to use. Let go of the rope and well...gravity can be a killer. This design allows a slow descent and easy to stop mid-lift. A gamechanger. Nice to see some of the more forward thinking contractors here in the US now adopting the Big-Ben.
