I did a lot of research on travel rods before deciding on the Loop ZT...and I'm glad I did. The rod is light in the hand but feels extremely sturdy. Just completed a 6-day steelhead trip (throwing skagit and sinktips) and the rod performed beautifully. My fishing guide was equally impressed. After the trip, disassembled and placed in my checked luggage - no oversized equipment bags. LOVE this rod.
