The Thorne 2 I received is a very high quality jacket. I however returned it due to the following reasons. The hood doesn’t tick away into a collar - I thought this would be ok but it’s very bulky and would irritate me when fishing. There is no back pocket which I find useful There are no under arm vents ( have them on my old Simms G3) The Velcro cuffs do not lie flat and will definitely snag running line especially scandi type lines. There is no fly patch The front pockets are just adequate. The new simms range also has serious design misgivings - not least no net loop on the back!! In the end I purchased a new brand Dryolgy - it’s packed with great features is a softer more forgiving fabric. Time will tell how it performs in the field . Hopefully by the time I need a replacement the design issues on the Thorne V3? Will be resolved Regards Adam Vicary
